Mentegram has landed in Israel

Mentegram, an Austin Texas-based healthcare startup, is proud to announce that it has expanded its market to include a new international partnership in Israel.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jacob Freedman enthusiastically stated, “Mental illness is a global concern.  It is no surprise that Mentegram has a lot to offer psychiatrists and psychotherapists no matter the nation in which they provide treatment for their patients.”  Since 2013, Mentegram has been helping clinicians across America by developing personalized assessment and treatment tools for their patients with the stated goal of improving clinical outcomes while simultaneously increasing practice revenue.  But since the Summer of 2016, Mentegram began offering its services to clients overseas.

Dr. Freedman noted that this is a natural move for the company as he himself is licensed to practice medicine in both America and The State of Israel.  He added, “I’ve been excited to see Mentegram’s unique tools for personalized mental health care at work Israel for a while now, it was just a matter of time before we found the right partner.”  The right partner happened Dr. Shmuel Harris, a Jerusalem-based academic psychiatrist who was developing a brand-new treatment program called Machon Dvir.

Under the supervision of Dr. Harris, who also serves as Director of the Psychiatric Clinical Service at Hadassah Hospital’s Mount Scopus campus, Machon Dvir offers an intensive outpatient therapy program with psychiatric and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) services.  According to Dr. Harris, Mentegram was specifically chosen by the staff at Machon Dvir, “to streamline the assessment process, aid with clinical research, and to provide patients with personalized treatment-planning tools.”  As Israel’s only comprehensive system of care for English-speaking patients receiving DBT, Mentegram’s technology helps them to cut down on paperwork and to focus on providing exceptional clinical care.  Mentegram has been successfully working with Machon Dvir in Jerusalem, Israel, since September 2016.

Mentegram is very much an international company itself with founders hailing from Europe and key team members and advisors from across the ocean in America.  This is something shared by Machon Dvir where international staff members include Dr. Harris, who studied medicine in Australia, and clinical director Dr. Tzachi Fried, a psychologist originally trained in America.

Regarding the company’s new beginnings in Israel, Dr. Freedman noted, “we are thrilled to partner with the mental health field in Israel.  This country is not only known for being a technology-friendly ‘startup nation’ but it’s also at the forefront of psychiatric treatment for many conditions from schizophrenia to PTSD.”

Mentegram’s Co-Founder, Milan Steskal, was equally excited by this new development, stating, “Mentegram is dedicated to continuing its work alongside clinicians from across the globe as part of our mission to develop easy-to-use technology for improving patient outcomes.”
